Frequently asked questions

Why do I need to send a real email? +
We analyze the actual email as received by our server — headers, authentication results, content, and encryption. A real email is the only way to test all 20 checks accurately.
Is my email content stored? +
Email content is processed in memory and deleted after analysis. Only the check results and metadata are stored. Test data expires after 24 hours for anonymous tests.
What does the score mean? +
Your score ranges from 0 to 10. It reflects authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), infrastructure (DNS, TLS, blacklists), and content quality. Higher is better — 9+ means excellent deliverability.
How is this different from mail-tester.com? +
GoMailScore runs 20 checks including MTA-STS, BIMI, ARC, and bulk sender compliance (Google/Yahoo 2024 requirements). We also offer an API for automated testing and monitoring.
